One of the trendiest ways to start off your weekend is by visiting the “Oranjezicht City Farm Market” at the V&A Waterfront.
Every saturday and sunday from 9.00am – 2.00pm this community farmers style market for independent local farmers and artisanal food producers offers an abundance of delicious food options, from vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options to juicy steaks and oysters.
You will find delicious locally roasted coffee, local wines, cheese, honey, baked pastries, homemade breads, local butcher products and much more.
It feels like a celebration of food which you can enjoy right at the market overlooking the beautiful coastline.
My personal favorite are the vegan, gluten free pumpkin flapjacks served with banana and homemade cashewnut ice-cream…to die for.
